Prior to the $825M sale of Circus Circus Hotel and Resort, Alex led the property as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Circus Circus, Dixon served as the opening General Manager of MGM Springfield Casino Resort & Spa in Springfield, Massachusetts where he was responsible for the day-to-day operations at the $950M resort. Immediately prior to joining MGM, Dixon served as the opening Vice President and Assistant General Manager of Horseshoe Casino Baltimore with Caesars Entertainment. Prior to joining Caesars, Dixon worked as an investment banker focusing on mergers and acquisitions with Goldman Sachs and Silver Pacific Advisors in cities including: New York, London, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Dixon’s significant transaction experience includes the $638M IPO of Jackson Hewitt and Disney’s $7.5B acquisition of Pixar. Dixon currently serves as a member of Nevada Governor Sisolak’s Covid-19 Response, Relief and Recovery Task force and as a Trustee of the Vegas Chamber of Commerce. Alex formerly served as the Treasurer of Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas, President of the Las Vegas Urban League Young Professionals, Board Member MedStar Harbor Hospital, Executive Committee Greater Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau, Trustee American International College and was appointed by the Clark County Commission to serve on the Committee on Community Priorities. From 2010 – 2019, Alex co-founded and led Confess Media a souvenir and event photography software development firm based in Las Vegas. In 2003, Dixon was awarded a BBA in finance from Howard University in Washington D. C. and studied abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico. A native of Las Vegas and graduate of Durango High School, Dixon is the husband of Yindra Dixon and proud father of Alex, Jr. and twins, Parker and Peyton.
